Michael Riketta
My general research interests fall within two broad areas: the self (i.e., identity, self-concept, self-esteem, and self-regulation) and intergroup relations. My current research focuses on (a) commitment and identification in organizations (e.g., implications for work motivation; conflicting identities), (b) the structure and functions of self-esteem (e.g., deliberate vs. controlled self-evaluation), and (c) projection of self-attributes to ingroups and outgroups (social projection).
